We are looking for a Chef for our Stone Brewing Napa location!  Our Chef will be the point person in our kitchen and will lead items including staff oversight, ordering, job duties, scheduling, cleanliness & food safety, opening/closing kitchen and much more!  We are looking for those that are serious about building a career in the restaurant industry and are strong team players with a 'do whatever it takes' attitude. Additional job duties are described below...

  • Prepares a variety of meats, seafood, poultry, vegetables and other food items for cooking in broilers, ovens, grills, fryers and a variety of other kitchen equipment.
  • Delegates work to other back of the house team members to ensure timely food preparation and presentation.
  • Ordering, managing par levels, product quality checks
  • Assumes 100% responsibility for quality of products served.
  • Staff supervision, including scheduling and training
  • Responsible for monitoring line temps and temping coolers and food stations before and during a shift.
  • Knows and complies consistently with our standard portion sizes, cooking methods, quality standards and kitchen rules, policies and procedures.
  • Stocks and maintains sufficient levels of food products at line stations to assure a smooth service period.
  • Portions food products prior to cooking according to standard portion sizes and recipe specifications.
  • Maintains a clean and sanitary work station area including tables, shelves, grills, broilers, fryers, wok, sauté burners, convection oven, flat top range and refrigeration equipment.
  • Follows proper plate presentation and garnish set up for all dishes.
  • Handles, stores and rotates all products properly.
  • Assists in food prep assignments
  • Closes the kitchen properly and follows the closing checklist for kitchen stations. Assists others in closing the kitchen.
  • Attends all scheduled employee meetings and brings suggestions for improvement.
  • Follows recipes correctly.
  • Follow all safety policies, procedures and best practices at all times.



Our Chef candidate must have 3+ years of culinary management experience, with at least 6 years in the culinary field.    Must be open to working with organic, free-range, and eco-friendly ingredients on a non-traditional menu. Must have a current Food Safety Certificate.  If you meet our requirements and are interested, we want to hear from you.
