Stone Brewing is searching for a detail oriented, organized and guest focused Event Supervisor. Working at our Stone Brewing World Bistro and Gardens – Escondido location, this role is responsible for promoting, pricing, planning, coordinating and supervising the execution of all special party, banquet, and event functions in-house.  If you have a strong work ethic, a desire to learn and are dedicated to your craft, we want you.

The Job:

  • Greet client prior to the start of each event, introduce the client to the Event Operations team for execution of details and be present to assist where needed.
  • Prepare schedule requests to ensure a sufficient number and appropriate skill levels of event staff.
  • Provide guidance, support, and training where appropriate to further the advancement, performance, and efficiency of events staff.
  • Create a motivational environment with open and effective communication.
  • Provide special events staff with a copy of the BEO to gain a thorough understanding of event specifications.
  • Prepare all required paperwork including forms, reports, and schedules in an organized and timely manner.
  • Obtain equipment and supplies needed for each event, ensuring that they meet customer expectations and requirements.
  • Inspect event space prior to the start of each event.  Check event setup, menu specifications, service staff, etc. per the BEO.
  • Check the quantity and quality of received event supplies during the shift.
  • Communicate with other departments as needed so that all involved parties have a complete understanding of their responsibilities regarding each event.



Your Experience:

  • Associate’s Degree (AA) or equivalent from a two-year college
  • At least 2 years of related experience and/or training in the food/beverage service with working knowledge of restaurant and/or banquet/event operations.
  • Must have previous supervisory experience.
  • Must have experience and knowledge of ABC laws for legal sale of alcohol. 
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint and Outlook.  Experience with Ctuit, Triple Seat, and Aloha preferred.  Previous experience with Point of Sale systems is a must.
  • Must possess a current RABS (Responsible Alcohol Beverage Service) training certificate.  Must have a current San Diego County Food Handlers card, issued by the city of San Diego.  Certified Beer Server preferred.
