Financial Analyst

Stone Brewing is in search of an exceptional Financial Analyst to join our team.  The Financial  Analyst will be responsible for financial modeling, forecasting, and reporting in conjunction with the company’s various business units and affiliates.

 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES:

  • Assist in the development and preparation of the annual operating budget and quarterly forecast updates for all related Stone business groups, entities and affiliates

  • Develop and coordinate monthly budget-to-actual reporting packages for department managers

  • Investigate variances from the operating budget and have interaction with department managers to review performance

  • Assist with the preparation of the monthly and quarterly bank reporting packages

  • Assist in the preparation of all financing documents and loan covenant tracking

  • Prepare strategic analysis for investment decisions, new initiatives, profitability analysis, business trends and performance results

  • Employ analytical, conceptual and creative thinking skills to improve overall business and reporting performance

  • Assist with the preparation of presentation materials aimed at Executive Staff

  • Research data and calculate performance statistics and ratios

  • Other projects as assigned

 

REQUIRED SKILLS:

  • Strong Financial analysis skill, including budget management and complex financial modeling with 2+ years’ experience in modeling and analysis.

  • Strong interpersonal skills (tact, diplomacy, persuasion, cooperation and ability to motivate others).  Ability to effectively interact with colleagues, consultants and stakeholders.

  • Good verbal and written communication skills (presentation, listening, report writing).

  • Computer software proficiency.  Strong skills in the use of Word and Excel

  • Strong team-working skills and ability to produce/manage in a rapidly growing, diverse and changing environment.

  • Excellent planning, organization and time management skills and is self-motivated and solid team player.

  • Strong problem solving ability and capacity to come up with new ideas.

  • Ability to anticipate issues and identify improvement opportunities.

  • Strong attention to detail

 

 EDUCATION and EXPERIENCE

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or equivalent, and at least 2 years related experience.  Strong computer literacy and competence with Microsoft software (Word and Excel) with advanced Excel skill. Must have knowledge and experience using accounting software, preferably ERP systems (Microsoft AX a plus)
